These furniture pieces were designed around the Weltformat size, extending possibilities of displaying posters in domestic environments. Weltformat is a very specific measurement for all advertisements and museum posters on the streets in Switzerland. Short-lived street posters that once served as media to deliver political, commercial, and cultural informations for a specific period of time, can be now collected, archived, and displayed in someone’s personal space. They were initially designed as a part of scenography for an exhibition, an exhibition that TIEL co-curated to showcase a collaboration between a Korean graphic zine Typozimmer and a Basel-based graphic design studio Claudiabasel.
