We were commissioned to design and to produce a flat-packable exhibition furniture system for the traveling Swiss jewelry exhibition, curated by the mudac – Musée de design et d’arts appliqués contemporains de Lausanne. Composed of 6 subchapters for more than 220 pieces of Swiss contemporary jewelry, the goal was to divide them into 2 elongated vitrine tables for the exhibition space at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, and to make it reusable and configurable for subsequent exhibition plans in different locations. The modular system, made of bent steel sheets and lacquered plywood, was designed around A3-sized description strips and can be easily assembled and disassembled with bolts and nuts.
